Saturday Night Swing in Ottawa is dedicated to providing great music for swing dancers. You'll hear a lot of swing music in the big band
tradition, but also everything from blues to modern music, and from traditional Jazz to motown. We mix it up so that dancers of many different dance styles
can enjoy their favourite swing and blues dances--including Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Balboa, East Coast Swing, Shag or Blues.
The main thing is our music has soul.

Natalia Rueda Currently house DJ for Ottawa's Saturday Night Swing soirees, Natalia draws on her life-long love of music and dancing to spin mixes of vintage-inspired songs and addictive West Coast Swing grooves to feed your feet and make your body move. Natalia's goal behind the turn tables is to please her audience. Whether your sweet spot is scratchy old vintage records, new-era Swing, or just great party music, she will deliver! Natalia also spins Salsa music, drawing on her experiences growing up and dancing in Colombia to spin compelling and authentic latin mixes! Natalia's DJing has received rave reviews at a number of recent events, including Followlowgie 2009 (Quebec City), Westie Bomb 2009 (Ottawa), and Balboa Explosion 2009 (Ottawa). Read more.

DJ Claudia Petrilli (Ottawa, ON) - Claudia's DJing at all of Ottawa's nights, including the OSDS and the Boathouse, has made discerning swing dancers take note. Specializing in vintage swing music as well as blues and gospel, her tasteful selections have drawn her invitations to spin in Toronto, Montreal and Quebec city, where her DJing for the Canadian Balboa Championships earned her rave reviews. If you missed her at the 2008 Canadian Swing Championships, where she kept the dancing going past 5am, or at the 2008 Waterloo MezzJelly Blues event, you'll get a chance to see her at many upcoming events, as well as of course our weekly SNS! DJ Byron Alley (Montreal, QC/Ottawa, ON) — As House DJ in Montreal at the Petit Medley, Jello Bar and Studio 88-Swing's Swing Fever nights as well as special events, Byron sometimes clocked more than 15 hours behind the turntables in a single week. He's known for his versatility in playing many styles of swingable music, but his greatest loves are early Jazz and Swing from the 20's and 30's, and the entire blues family of music. He's also DJed for packed crowds at over a dozen premier Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Blues and Balboa dance events in Canada and the US, including the Canadian Swing Championships, Montreal's Bagels and Blues, and the Canadian Balboa Championships. DJ Andre "Old Skool" Danis Known as a popular local WCS teacher, Andre also has years of DJing experience, having run a DJ-and-light show business for many years. Now Ottawa's lucky to have him spinning tunes for the local West Coast Swing lovers! Andre and his partner, Maria, teach West Coast Swing at Ottawa's Swing Dance School Swing Dynamite, as well as both Swing and Hustle dancing in East Ottawa.

Donnie "Da Cube" Neron Donnie "Da Cube" has joined forces with Old Skool to create a DJ team to be reckoned with! This tag-team DJ combo hails from Badstreet, Ottawa, Canada – if there is such a place – and is known for getting the house rockin’ and the party poppin’. Both competitive dancers in West Coast Swing in Hustle, they love a busy DJ booth, too. OldsKOOL’s roots date back to club DJ’ing in the ‘70s, so you’re guaranteed to hear stuff you thought you’d never hear again. DaCube’s music library contains more songs than there are grains of sand on the Earth. Get some! Donnie also teaches WCS for the Swing Dynamite dance school, and he's a proud member of the Westie Bombers WCS performance team!

Guest DJ Louise "LuLuLuv" Gour Louise comes from a long line of "social" dancers, and first learned to appreciate dancing at family gatherings. She has been dancing Swing, Hustle, Ballroom and Two-Step since 1997. Today, Louise is known for her exceptional musicality and funky style, both in DJing and dancing. She and her partner, Bob, teach group and private lessons in West Ottawa.
