West Coast Swing Dancing in Ottawa
Weekly Westie!
West Coast Swing has a place to dance in Ottawa! At Saturday Night Swing we have West Coast Swing dancing every week,
featuring a dedicated room for WCS dancers, including related dances that West Coast Swing lovers enjoy such as Hustle. Here's how it
works:
- Two rooms: For our WCS dance nights, we open a second West Coast Swing room for dancing WCS, Hustle and the occasional Chacha or Two-step! We call this the "Westie Lounge." We still have our usual Lindy Hop-oriented room running as well. And dancers who enjoy different styles of swing can dance it all, just by changing rooms at any time during the dance night.
- Two DJs: Our DJs in both rooms specialize in the dance music they're playing, so you'll hear great West Coast Swing tunes spun by top Canadian WCS dancer/DJ's, and kick-ass swing, jazz and blues music spun by some of Canada's favourite Lindy Hop DJ's. You choose!

Free Beginner WCS Lesson or Specialty Lesson
As usual Saturday Night Swing features two lessons, one of which is a beginner swing class aimed at complete beginners. For our West
Coast Swing (Double Trouble) nights, we usually have either a beginner WCS lesson, or a lesson of particular
interest to West Coast Swing dancers, such as:
- Hustle
- Blues Dancing
- Balboa
- Two Step
Our DJ's
Our house DJ's in both styles of dance are invited regularly to spin music at major events in other cities, and they're all dancers themselves, so you know you're getting to swing dance to some of the best music! Check out some of our awesome DJ's here: Saturday Night Swing DJ's
